William "Bill" Hoffman

With over 40 years of service, Bill began his career in 1968 as an accountant and well-known educator in Maryland Public Schools. Bill earned a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Rider University, Lawrenceville New Jersey in 1968. Bill earned a Master's Degree in Education from the University of Maryland in 1995. Bill passed the Certified Public Accountant exam in 1974. During Bill's accounting career in 1971, he was honored to work with the William Donald Schaefer administration to be a part of what is now known as the Baltimore Inner Harbor and many other well know real estate projects in Maryland.

During his days of performing audits, Bill has audited such notable companies as Joseph Bank Clothiers, Schavitz Furniture; additionally he audited many large-scale Maryland construction projects i.e. the Francis Scott Key Bridge, the Inner Harbor in Baltimore, and Durrett Shepperd Steel. Since 1986, Bill has been very successful in operating his own accounting and tax practice (HL Associates, Inc., doing business as Public Accounting Corp.) before merging with the Professional Accounting Center

Margaret Tabb, EA

Margaret graduated from Community College of Baltimore City with an A.A. Degree in Accounting in 1983, and continued her studies at the University of Baltimore earning a Bachelor’s Degree in 1994, majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting. For over 30 years, Margaret has worked for both public and non-profit companies working in a wide variety of accounting and financial services with a specialty in tax planning and tax preparation services.

Margaret has worked in the accounting field for some well-known companies to include, Woolworth’s, Control Data, Ceridian Payroll Service and The Foundation Fighting Blindness before venturing out into her own accounting practice in 2001.

Margaret holds the following licenses:

  • Enrolled Agent (licensed to practice before the Internal Revenue Service).
  • State of Maryland Health & Life Insurance
  • FINRA Series 6 Securities License
